School database server

Client details are private at their request.

A practical home for a school’s database.

Understanding the problem

School software depends on the machine running its records. The task was to provide a dedicated server for a school database, with enough capacity for its work and a setup the organization could use for daily operations.

Planning the solution

We chose hardware capacity for the school’s intended database workload.

Putting it to work

We implemented a dedicated Linux machine to run the school’s database, selecting hardware with suitable capacity for the intended workload.

The implementation gave the database its own server environment. The hardware illustration shown here is anonymous and does not disclose the institution, actual machine identifiers, network details, or system configuration.

Results

The school gained a dedicated database server sized for its intended workload.
